Casting Call

Earth Orbit Productions is casting for the short film White Knight. If you are interested in applying for a position, please submit a CV and headshot to casting@earthorbitproductions.com

Unfortunately because the budget for this film is so small, there is no way to pay cast or crew, however food will be provided and with the exception of the role of White Knight, none of the acting positions will be more than one day of work.  This is a great chance to build up a portfolio!

MAJOR ROLES (ie an important character in at least one scene):

Male 30-45. Heavyset with a bit of a belly is a plus!  This is the title role for the character of Tracy AKA “White Knight,” a  self-named “Real Life Superhero” who instead of fighting crime like one may expect, is infact a costumed activist who focuses his time on helping the homeless.  He’s had a difficult life, yet remains a strong optimist.
Male 30-45. Tracy’s best friend Kevin, who doesn’t understand what Tracy’s costumed activism is all about.  He tries to talk some “sense” into his friend.
Female 30-45. Tracy’s girlfriend / wife.  She fights with him when he brings a harmless homeless couple home with him one day.
Any sex/age. A Reporter interviewing White Knight.
Male 18-35: Two criminals chasing White Knight
Male 18-35: A homeless man who at first accepts charity from White Knight, and later bails him out of a tough situation.
Male 25-65: Jacob – A homeless man who loses his girlfriend to a drug overdose

MINOR ROLES (ie. featured extras with a line or two here and there):

Male; Asian 25-40: Bingwen – A respectable, but unfortunately homeless man just looking for a job.
Female; Asian 25-40: Amy – Bingwen’s wife.
Male 19-25: Two drunk teenagers that take a photo of White Knight coming out of a bar
Male/Female 18-60: A half dozen “homeless” extras are needed at various points.
